Like a Stone - Audioslave

Okay, all those who went, "aaah! another rock-blog", well its not (HAAA! right back at ya). The reason for picking this song is the same logic for the existence of the first sentence (no, not stupidity), for it's not what you think it symbolises/means/signifies, a guy with a broken heart telling the girl he loved, a cold hearted bi*ch who left him to die alone in misery , about fate n stuff       (melodramatic eh?).

The pro's who're reading this, do not sigh and people who can relate to it, do not cry. Here's a FACT, yes its a love song, yes there's a broken heart BUT there's also the acknowledgement of the existence of 'the bond' once thought to be severed AND its the cold-hearted-bi*ch (I realized its a hyphenated word) whose singin it.

They say, you never know the value of what you have till you lose it and that's what the song preaches, with our ANTI-HERO (do not question the pseudonym) claiming to have experienced a reality check. Dying alone is not a worry rather an inevitable conclusion, to what she thinks are the measured returns of her deeds good n bad alike.

The house mentioned, a familiar place she had been to a long time ago, is her lover's heart (WOW, if you haven’t guessed already) and NOW the sky was bruised (inflicted scars), the wine was bled (you know this) but he was still there to lead her on.

In that house is, where she longs to be, even if that be the state of being just a static memory from a lost past and even if that means to embracing the end. In her frame praying to the gods and angels above, to afford her a passage to the true heaven which she once stepped out of. And until the time comes when he takes her hand to show her around the house again she'll be waitin like a stone (DA-DUM).........
